Cape Le Grande National Park

A pleasant 50km drive East of Esperance leads to the beautiful Cape Le Grande National Park where visitors can swim, fish, snorkel, boogie board, SUP board, and relax on the squeaky white sand.

Visitors can hike along the walk trails, climb Frenchmans Peak and enjoy the picnic/bbq facilities provided. Within the park are Lucky Bay, Hellfire Bay, Thistle Cove, Cape Le Grande and Rossiter Bay.

Relaxed kangaroos are regularly seen around the campsite and beach at Lucky Bay.

The Great Ocean Drive

The Great Ocean Drive, Esperance, WA

The Great Ocean Drive is approx 40km and commences on The Esplanade in front of The Jetty Resort. The Rotary Lookout provides fantastic views of the Esperance islands then continuing west the drive winds around the coastline where the beaches can be enjoyed. Car parks along the drive allow visitors to stop and enjoy the scenery.  Further along, past Twilight Beach, a popular swimming beach, the Wind Farm can be seen before the road veers inland and around past Pink Lake and back in to the town centre.  Bike/walking  paths can be enjoyed between Esperance and Twilight Beach.

Esperance Foreshore

The Esperance foreshore has received a major redevelopment in 2014 and now has stunning gardens, bike/walk paths, numerous BBQ and seating areas, playground and exercise areas.

The Jetty Resort offer fishing rod hire including tackle and bait. Perhaps you would prefer to paddle a kayak or a stand-up paddle board. All available for hire from The Jetty Resort reception.

A variety of food vans are set up just across from The Jetty Resort on the Esperance Foreshore. Choose from healthy fresh juice from S’Juice or a delicious coffee from Coffee Cat.

Esperance Bird and Animal Park

Esperance Stonehenge

The Esperance Stonehenge is the only complete replica of the UK Stonehenge, and built to align with the Esperance summer and winter solstices, an amazing sight to see. Located 18km from town, this homage to the original Stonehenge towers 8m into the sky and consists of 137 pink granite stones quarried locally. Lake Hillier

Visit the world famous Lake Hillier located offshore of Esperance on Middle Island. The spectacular bubble-gum pink lake is still not fully understood by scientists, but most suspect its colour has to do with the presence of certain type of algae.

Full day boat tours and scenic flights over the lake are available to Middle Island which is located 70 nautical miles from Esperance.
